Population of Gocek in the winter is around 4,500. This number rises above 7,000 in high season.

Six marinas and an annual regatta make Gocek a yachting and sailing haven. There are more than 20 sailing and motor yacht charter and brokerage after-sail companies to cater to your every need. At weekends, Gocek is awash with Istanbul high society.

An hour drive from Gocek and one reaches the natural beauties of Dalyan, the sights around Fethiye\ Oludeniz, or great Lycian sites like Tlos and Xanthos. There is one private beach in Port Gocek (5 minutes walk from Portville) or you may take advantage of one of the wooden tour boats headed out each morning to explore the bays. The best swimming and snorkeling are in and around the beaches or in the coves of the Twelve Islands.

Gocek is in prime Blue Cruise territory, so you may rent a yacht or a gullet for as much time and money as you have to spare. Angelo II is the ultimate in Turkish blue Cruising (See images above).
